Web Developer

The qualified applicant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining content-based websites; applying current agency and team standards; developing applicable documentation; communicating status to appropriate personnel; ensuring content remains updated and relevant; providing quality work; and working independently within a team environment.

* Design page layouts and graphics and provide technical guidance on search engines meta-tags, JavaScript, XML and other more advanced web activities. * Provide alternatives, information, and assistance to client and web developers regarding effective display of information. * Maintain and monitor various web directories, documents, accounts, and other related information. * Assist personnel in setting up Omniture web tracking accounts, troubleshooting issues and advising on the use of Omniture. * Serve as a technical expert on XHTML and CSS as well as best practices for a multibrowser, multi-platform environment.

**Basic Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience. * Experience designing and programming with JavaScript, XML, HTML, and ASP.Net that may be utilized as developmental tools and development platforms. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work in a dynamic team environment. * Ability to work independently **Preferred Qualifications:** * Knowledge of CDC culture, mission, and IT environment. * Experience/Knowledge regarding Federal emergency response operations.
