Summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking Technical Writer/Editors. These positions will be located in our Technology Services Sector in New Carrollton, MD. Northrop Grumman Technology Services is a global provider of innovative, cost effective solutions. From sustainment and modernization, supply chain management, training and simulation, and high technology services, we offer a full-spectrum of support. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where she/he will interact with developers, testers, analysts, and other subject matter experts (SME) to create, assimilate, develop, and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner for the application documentation support activities.
Responsibilities
* Write a variety of technical documents; design specifications, diagrams, manuals (system and end users) white papers, flow chats, reports, and/or manuals * Consume raw technical details provided by the various SME’s and construct appropriate documentation to the detail and level required by the document consumers * Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document. * Ensures content is of high quality and conforms with standards for technical accuracy, grammar, punctuation, readability, and document formatting.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in in an IT related field, such as Computer Science, IT, Database Management, Network Security, Management, Business, or other related fields * Minimum 3 year technical documentation experience OR 1 year experience with Master’s * Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result * Demonstrated ability to review draft and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage; prepare documents and presentations for delivery to the customer; track document deliveries; and track customer’s acceptance of delivered documents. * Requires ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance. * Must be either a U.S. Citizen or possess a minimum 3 years of residency as a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) in the U.S. **Preferred Qualifications** Active MBI security clearance
