Summary
Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer 3 for a national level cyber development program opportunity. This position will be located in McLean, VA.
Responsibilities
* In this position, you will identify, recommend, develop, and implement security solutions, including development and deployment of enterprise network security monitoring, to customer requirements, manage structured development projects using systems development lifecycle methodologies, and act as client relationship manager for departments and agencies. * Design, analyze and test cyber security-related systems. * Perform hardware and software asset management. * Provide technical support to evaluate problems and provide technical solutions for a 24x7 environment. * Develop and update SOPs for security monitoring, patch management, tool installation and upgrade, continuous monitoring processes. * Participate in meetings, focus groups and configuration boards to ensure client and agency needs are met. * Research, evaluate, recommend, design, test, implement and maintain new security monitoring solutions. * Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems. * Prepare functional specifications from which systems will be procured and implemented. * Participate in technical design reviews, security testing. * Prepare and maintain technical user guides, standard operating procedures, systems/network documentation and diagrams. * Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems and system components to include computing, networking, and enclave environments. * Establish and maintain a systems lab for testing, evaluation and virtualization. * Maintain a working knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications, including emerging technologies. * Manage the development of an architecture that is secure, cost effective, and scalable meeting multiple agency requirements. * Manage the development, deployment support and O&M of a family of cyber security systems supporting subcomponent through national level reporting.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years systems engineering experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. * Selected candidate must be able to pass a DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment. * Experience in performing detailed research analysis of a client's existing IT operations, integration of proposed project with existing systems, and other high-level subjects. * Experience in providing systems engineering support in assisting clients in the development of cyber systems by analyzing functional and technical requirements, preparing systems designs and specifications, and performing systems development and systems, data, and product integration. **Preferred Qualifications:** Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration: * Ability to identify, recommend, develop and implement solutions to customer requirements. * Experience managing structured system development lifecycle projects using ISO or SEI CMM methodologies.
