Engineer - Marketing Technology Operations

The Marketing Technology Operations Team is a team that supports internal tools that optimize productivity and efficiency for Nordstrom Marketing and its business partners.

* Work in partnership with project teams, business partners and end users to ensure seamless integration of tools, applications and processes. * Analyze operational and user requirements to deliver creative, innovative solutions to meet business objectives. * Ensure appropriate development and implementation of technology within both the development and production environments. * Meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Handle multiple assignments simultaneously and coordinate deliverables and dependencies with other groups. * Be a resource to others for technology-related initiatives and solutions. * Research technology-based solutions to streamline processes and provide superior results. * Act as liaison for internal and external business partners. * Translate technical solutions into everyday business language.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field preferred. * 3+ years of applicable experience required. * You have skills with some or all of the following (in no particular order): * You are well versed in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AppleScript, Bash * Familiar with deploying and maintaining Apache * You have experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL or similar) * You possess general Macintosh and Linux skills (client and server) * Know how to use Git, Jira, Confluence * Have some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications and creative environments. * Your response to learning another language is: “It’s just syntax”. * The user’s experience is equally as important as writing solid code. * You don’t believe in reinventing the wheel but totally could. * Ambiguity isn’t a scary word. * You firmly believe in testing. * You are not afraid to give or take constructive feedback. * You can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
