Graphic Designer II

Nike Innovation is looking for skilled Graphic Designer to concept, explore, create and develop new graphical designs and design systems for footwear that leverage and maximize advanced printing technologies and connect the Nike brand thru 1:1 consumer story telling.

• Graphic designs will focus on vector and raster graphics. Examples of work include the ability to create unique patterns, representational graphics and custom typography, as well as color palette and photography exploration into form factors relevant to footwear are required. Translating or re-envisioning artistic works or artist collaborations for co-creation may apply. Create design guidelines for applying newly created curated graphic design and design systems for footwear.

• Designer must understand print processes. Collaboration with advanced digital print lab teams to maximize and optimize print file creation and technical processes. Push the envelope of new technologies and showcase visual direction and strategies via swatch creations. Push the innovation optimization of technical printers and inks. Push the envelope on aesthetic and performance printing techniques.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, related field, or 4 years of relevant work experience
• Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Nike design aesthetic and also have a more advance understanding of multi-dimensional design (e.g. 3D)
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience with motion graphics and 3D rendering capabilities preferred
