Summary
Nexamp is seeking a Solar Development Manager to lead the permitting and development of a portfolio of ground-mounted solar projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with local and state permitting as well as a design background in civil engineering, environmental mitigation, and construction. Nexamp is a vertically integrated solar energy developer, builder, owner, and operator.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading permitting and other aspects of solar project development for Nexamp ground-mounted solar projects. * Develop ground-mounted solar projects, simultaneously managing land development and permitting alongside utility interconnection and other contracted timelines. * Manage external consultants in conjunction with internal design staff to facilitate development of civil permitting and construction plans. * Provide value engineering of solar projects in support of internal design, civil and construction teams. * Evaluate site-related due diligence in support of project origination and acquisition. * Efficiently manage the schedule and budget to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. * Procure external consultants as needed for land development and permitting expertise. * Work with state, county and local governments, community groups, and neighbors. * Manage and resolve real estate issues, including but not limited to easements, access, and title concerns. * Engage with the incumbent utility to manage the project interconnection process. * Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to facilitate the project permitting and approval process. * Travel as needed; some evening and weekend work required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be bright, enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and a team player. Key qualifications as follows: * Minimum five years of civil/environmental experience * Exceptional oral and written communication skills * Team leadership and entrepreneurial capabilities * 4-year college degree in a relevant discipline * Salesforce/CRM experience desirable * Knowledge of state solar policy and regulations beneficial
