Summary
NewsCred is seeking experienced freelance writers to brainstorm, write, edit, and create content for our customers. NewsCred’s editorial team brings editorial strategies to life for some of the world’s best-known brands as they build communities through content marketing. The freelance writer’s ability to adapt to our client's voice and support business goals through well-written articles is essential for driving our client's business success. With that in mind, freelance writers will pitch ideas, brainstorm, write and edit original content for our clients, ensuring content is high quality and on-brand. Freelance writers will comply with our clients' stringent guidelines and ensure that we are providing valuable articles, for their target audiences, that will pass muster under legal and brand scrutiny as well.
Responsibilities
* Writing Original Content * Brainstorm and pitch original article ideas * Write valuable original content that aligns with client's business goals and guidelines * Edit original content for quality and clarity * Handle program communication between editorial strategist and client * Ensure pitches and content are high quality and on brand
Ideal Candidate
* Experience writing professionally or freelance, with a publishing history * Have experience in content or news ideation and production (desired but not essential) * Have familiarity with digital marketing space and enthusiasm for working with commercial brands * Understand tone and voice, and have the ability to adapt content to a client’s specific tone (e.g. What makes a Mashable story different from a Guardian story?) * Be able to concisely communicate with editorial strategists and colleagues about original content * Be available consistently
