Part Time News Reporters

The New York Post was founded in 1801 and publishes the oldest continually published daily newspaper in America.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of not only hard news but entertainment and celebrity culture. Knowledge of NYC and environs preferred but not essential if you’ve worked in another major U.S. city

• Report from breaking news scenes, as well as press conferences and public events.
• Cultivate sources from various areas of politics, government, entertainment and popular culture pertaining to New York City.
• Collaborate with editors and colleagues on in-depth reports of general news interest.

• Excellent reporting skills.
• The ability to thrive in fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• Must have excellent news judgment.
• The ability to effectively pitch creative enterprising stories.
• The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
