GMAD Head of Product Management

New York Life Insurance Company (New York Life or the company) is the largest mutual life insurance company in the United States. Founded in 1845, New York Life is headquartered in New York City, maintains offices in all fifty states, and owns Seguros Monterey New York Life in Mexico.

The Head of Product Management for the Group Membership Association Department (GMAD) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for GMAD including products, services, technologies, and markets. The role is also responsible for managing the development and implementation of new product solutions, including bringing them to market.

• Responsible for management of full product line (Life, DI, ADD, HIP and supplemental product lines)
• Serve as project lead drawing on GMAD and NYL resources to implement and rollout new products and enhancements to existing ones
• Conduct industry market research
• Engage in discussions at the broker and association levels to determine the service and product gaps at each stage of distribution
• Identify market solutions using new and existing products and riders to target these gaps
• Serve as member of GMAD Senior Leadership Team

• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of life insurance industry and its products
• Awareness of best practices and how they are impacted by the changing business environment
• Bachelor's Degree
