Responsibilities
Job Description The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is a community foundation that allows local donors to take an organized approach to giving, and to better understand the needs in their region. Of the more than 700 community foundations nationwide, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is among the oldest and largest. The Foundation seeks to strengthen communities and inspire greater giving by: - Investing charitable assets for today and tomorrow - Connecting donors with effective organizations, ideas, and students - Leading and collaborating on important public issues The Foundation is looking to hire a Senior Community Impact Associate who will provide a range of support for the Community Impact Dept. and for Student Aid programs and initiatives, as well as executive administrative support for the Vice President of the Department. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities may include: Executive Administrative Support - Develops and manages the VP’s overall schedule, including in- and out-of-state travel, scheduling meetings, and ensuring planning and prompt follow-up actions - Prepares briefing materials, including background materials, directions, and other logistics - Provides administrative support, including producing expense reports, managing mail, maintaining key project files, and other support as needed - Drafts and proofs memos; assembles information and produces presentations - Provides backup for Senior Grants Associate for departmental coordination: budget updating, monthly board materials, departmental vacation schedules, etc. Student Aid Support - Supports outside high school scholarship committees, including completing annual mailings, annual certifications, and troubleshooting issues that may arise - Runs donor reports on scholarship funds, reconciling to General Ledger and maintaining a database of stories - Responsible for data entry and record keeping, including transferring data from online scholarship portal to scholarship/grants management database - Responds to student phone calls - Coordinates internal controls and provides other administrative support for student aid as needed

Job Requirements - Highly organized, attention to detail, efficient and flexible; ability to work comfortably and make decisions in a fast-paced environment meeting multiple deadlines - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; independent writing and preparation of reports and letters - Superb judgement, initiative, and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated strong track record of critical thinking and independent decision making - Proven ability to collaborate well with others in a wide variety of settings - Ability to be self-directed, as well as work in teams - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and judgment - Ability to organize multiple tasks/projects, as well as prioritize tasks within projects - Belief in the mission and purpose of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation Education Requirements - Minimum two-year degree and five or more years of related work experience - Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and databases (such as Blackbaud database software) - Familiarity with conference calling, GoTo Meeting, and other meeting software products - Valid driver’s license
