Parametric Modeler/Designer

As a Parametric Modeler/Designer you will be working as part of the Performance Running design team.

This role will utilize programing skills, parametric and 3D modeling abilities to help the design team visualize concepts.

You will work on a daily basis with designers on running footwear projects.

You will also work as a conduit between inline design and the studio innovation team.

In some cases, the innovation team will lead with new execution, create definitions and guide the creative direction.

In this role you will be challenged to take this future data and assist the inline design team in building out products and collections.

Work with inline and footwear design team to translate athlete data into design solutions

3D modeling in multiple software packages including Rhino and Modo
-
Programming using Grasshopper based on athlete data
-
Link between inline and innovation teams. Bring future concepts into reality through 3D modeling

Working with biomechanics lab to transfer data to design
-
Build conceptual models in Modo based on designer direction
-
Work with Asia on 2D and 3D design files to ensure that direction is executed

Passionate about finding better ways to solve problems

Effective collaborator who works well with teams of diverse background

Driven to explore new ideas and techniques, pushing the boundaries of technology for design

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering or Computer Graphics. Two to four years of related experience.

Comfortable in a wide range of 3D software packages including Modeling Tools: Rhino, Modo

Parametric Modeling tools: Grashopper, Dynamo Rendering tools: Keyshot, Modo

Familiar with one or more text-based scripting languages
