Job Summary: As a Product Strategy manager you apply strong technical and business acumen to synthesize industry and technology trends and help with investigations to build confidence in the implication and timing of trends. This challenging position provides cross functional leadership and develops long-term product strategies for the company. You must be extremely results driven, analytical, technologically savvy and skilled at building internal and external relationships.

Essential Functions: * Support key planning efforts including Monthly and Annual Product Portfolio Planning and Corporate Planning * Synthesize key industry, technology and business trends by engaging with both internal and external partners * Build confidence in the implication and timing of trends and develop a “NetApp” point of view and positioning on important market opportunities/disruptions * Assist Director of Product Strategy on various activities including making Incubate, Build, Invest, Buy or Partner recommendations * Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to understand changing customer needs, perceived value of new product concepts, competitive alternatives and buying behavior

Requirements: * 8+ years of work experience in a technology role (Product Management, Business Development etc.), a business role in a Technology company and/or technology or management consulting * Strong analytical skills and ability to extract key insights from disparate data sources * An excellent understanding, curiosity and interest in how technology products and solutions solve business/customer problems * Good verbal and written communications skills, Excel and Powerpoint skills, including presentations to senior leadership * Ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required. * Familiarity with the IT / storage industry with some understanding of competitive offerings in the marketplace * Ability to work collaboratively across a cross functional team
