Neoscape is a creative studio with offices in Boston and New York. For the past 20 years we’ve been crafting branded experiences of built environments for discerning clients around the world.
Responsibilities
- Has a passion for understanding the client and trying to come up with the best design solutions to fit them and their needs. - Asks “why” to answer “how,” doesn’t rely on trends to do the work, thinks beyond what is already out there. - Attacks a blank canvas with ferocity, then knows how and when to clean it up. - Has a passion for type and the precision that goes into it, and the balance it must have. - Has a love for color and the theories behind it. - Switches up the formula on projects as needed to battle stagnation. - Realizes growth is about making mistakes, learns lessons to apply to future projects and can come up with solutions to problems. - Has stories to tell with multiple ways of telling them. Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills. Speak up! - Researches and sketches before opening up a design program. - Has strong knowledge of graphic design tools across a variety of media (print, motion, web) including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, bonus for AfterEffects. - Is able to take direction and ask questions to understand that direction. - Is knowledgeable in production, file setup for print and interactive - exporting assets, CMYK vs. RGB vs. PMS, print techniques, paper choices, etc…. - Is proactive in learning what is not known - takes initiative to improve skills and understanding. This includes process, design theory, production and keeping up-to-date on new software. - Is very organized and efficient with time management. Think before you jump. - Maintains file organization on projects so there are minimal issues with another designer jumping on a project. - Feels strongly about putting out the best work possible; knows why the solution is what it is and being able to back it up, because we’ll ask. - Wants to be challenged, to add to a group dynamic, to come up with unique solutions – everyday. - Always looking for ways to better the design department and Neoscape as a whole.
Ideal Candidate
• Has a BFA in Graphic Design and 1-3 years professional experience.
