Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining accounts, records, ledgers and statements of the company’s financial condition in accordance with professional and company standards.

* Prepare, manage and submit government financial reports * Prepare statements, schedules, filings and other reports as needed. * Compile, balance and control necessary data * Assist in the preparation of more complex reports * Maintain and control worksheets, reports, ledgers, postings, filing calendars, and other data * Assembles and processes summaries and updates information as necessary * Analyze reports and resolve discrepancies within limits of authority * Review and evaluate existing procedures and operations in assigned area and make suggestions regarding improvements * Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four year college or university is highly preferred * 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field * Solid, demonstrable understanding of accounting concepts * Ability to organize and self-prioritize in a fast paced environment with adherence to demanding internal and external deadlines * Excellent analytical and problem solving talent is essential
