Staff Accountant I

As a Staff Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining accounts, records, ledgers and statements of the company’s financial condition in accordance with professional and company standards.

• Prepare, manage and submit government financial reports
• Prepare statements, schedules, filings and other reports as needed.
• Compile, balance and control necessary data
• Assist in the preparation of more complex reports
• Maintain and control worksheets, reports, ledgers, postings, filing calendars, and other data
• Assembles and processes summaries and updates information as necessary
• Analyze reports and resolve discrepancies within limits of authority
• Review and evaluate existing procedures and operations in assigned area and make suggestions regarding improvements
• Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four year college or university is highly preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Solid, demonstrable understanding of accounting concepts
• Ability to organize and self-prioritize in a fast paced environment with adherence to demanding internal and external deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem solving talent is essential
