- Operate a tractor and trailer safely and efficiently
- Driver must off load product at customer site where required, which may include handling cases weighing up to 44 pounds each
- Must be licensed to operate an electric Pallet-Jack safely.
- Ensure each customer is receiving proper product by verifying case quantity and customer address against bills of lading.
- Report to dispatch by 1pm each day to report available hoursReport any delays to dispatch and the customer.
- Drop and hook trailers in the yard and at off-site customer locations we leave drop trailersPerform city work when required which could include switching up to 60 switches in a 12-hour period, having to crank dollies each and every time, local bulk deliveries, deliveries to Canada, and many other duties.
- Operate a 5500-pound bulk lift-gate safely.
- Maneuver pallets around in a trailer that weigh up to 65 pounds in stacks that could be 20 high (this involves a lot of bending and lifting)
- Pick-up any spilled product which could involve several pallets.
- Perform post and pre-trips on all equipment to ensure it is in working order
- Must be familiar with and follow DOT hours of service regulations
- Must have valid CDL-A
- License with less than 5 points
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- 3 years of Over the Road experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule
