Data Scientist

**Position Summary:** We are currently seeking a talented data scientist to join a high-quality technical team focused on a mobile/cloud software platform for interactive applications. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated developer with a proven track record of finding solutions for intelligent data processing. The candidate will work closely with and learn from technology experts in machine learning, natural language processing and speech. **Responsibilities:** - Develop and refine algorithms for machine learning from large domain datasets - Write offline as well as efficient runtime programs for meaning extraction and real-time response systems - Work closely with NLP technology experts to apply machine learning to language processing and understanding - Be open to learning new technologies and new problem domains - Collaborate with team members in building products

**Required Skills and Experience:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, computational linguistics, mathematics or similar - 2+ years of experience programming with Python - Experience with data and statistical analysis - Passion for solving difficult problems - Strong communication skills - Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues **Pluses:** - Experience with other data analytics languages such as R - Work experience programming in a high-level language such as Java or C++ - Exposure to NLP algorithms such as classification, parsing
