Responsibilities
The IT Auditor is responsible for all IT related projects within the Internal Audit Department. The position requires the ability to proactively assess IT risks and the impact that the identified risks have on business objectives. The IT Auditor will work closely with the Internal Audit team as well as with various subject matter experts within IT and IT Controls and Assurance departments. Primary responsibilities include developing IT audit scopes, objectives and audit programs; review, evaluate and test Information Technology General Computer Controls (ITGC's) and their impacts on the business environment and within computer application of the Company; and evaluate and test end user computing controls surrounding excel spreadsheets and access databases. This position will assist the Director of Internal Audit in designing and implementing an IT audit framework; producing audit exception reporting, as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining computer assisted auditing tools to be used by the audit staff. The IT Auditor will also support the audit team and other functional areas by providing IT advice, technical guidance and direction on IT internal controls over business processes and computer systems and on the design of new or changes to existing systems. Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Education:** * Bachelor's degree in applicable field required (Health Care/Business Administration, Computer Science). **Minimum Experience:** * 3-5 years IT auditing experience **Required Skills:** • Strong organizational and project management skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks and to take direction from several internal and external customers • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to work successfully with multiple internal and external customers, including senior management and Board members • Ability to manage multiple audits/projects in a seamless fashion • Ability to identify control gaps and work collaboratively to remediate those risks • Strong exception reporting and analytical skills • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines Preferred Skills: • Experience with Facets, Lawson, Business Objects, Cognos or other similar claims processing, accounting, and report writing systems a plus • Prior IT audit experience in managed healthcare industry • Experience with Model Audit Rule (MAR) or Sarbanes Oxley • Knowledge of Access, Audit Command Language (ACL) and VISIO • CISA or similar designation
