Summary
Within the Analysis group of FP&A, the Financial Analyst produces and delivers meaningful, accurate, actionable, and timely financial analysis to Managers at all levels of the organization. The adaptability of this team is key, as team members must not only understand our business partners’ strategies, and operations, but also proactively anticipate and respond to environmental shifts.
Responsibilities
**Major responsibilities include:** * The Financial Analyst will be a key player in the execution of Central Financial Planning & Analysis for the Finance Management Group of the Americas responsible for MUFG Union Bank and MUFG Americas. * S/he will leverage upon past financial and interpersonal experience to enhance the Bank's reporting, and analytics. * S/he will have strong functional skills in the major areas of Corporate Finance, Accounting and Financial Analytics and will demonstrate the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to key stakeholders. **Key areas of responsibility including but limited to:** * Forecasting and budgeting * Strategic financial planning * CEO/ CFO and Board of Directors/ Committee’s Deliverables * Incentive Compensation Plan Tracking and Forecasting * Business Line Reviews and Ad-Hoc Special Financial Projects * Financial Modeling * The candidate will be highly enthusiastic about MUFG's mission and be driven and committed to its success
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors' degree from a leading university and ideally an MBA * 2-4 years of Finance and/or Accounting experience is required * Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills * Experience in Financial Institutions and/or Bank/ Thrifts preferred, though not essential * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity * Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications * Ability to comfortably interact with stakeholders across the Bank in a professional and mature manner * Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment * Strong intellectual curiosity * Comfort in and commitment to strong teamwork environment * Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
