Summary
MTS Systems, long known for innovative solutions and work life balance, is looking to hire a Staff Financial Analyst to join our corporate team. Be a business partner with Test management and the Finance team to assist in driving financial planning, forecasting and reporting analysis. Assist in the development of process improvements, variance analysis, and monthly reports.
Responsibilities
- Gathers data and develops analysis that evaluate the performance and productivity of the Test business. - Develops monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting and analysis, both financial and operational, to drive management decision making. - With direction from their manager, establishes, maintains, and monitors adequate internal controls including procedures, documentation, and processes to ensure the integrity of the financial information and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Company policies and procedures. - Develop and maintain the financial status of customer orders and related projects, including detailed revenue and cost plans, project and order risk assessment and coverage, and recommendations for reserves and contingencies. - Support functional and business unit managers in the development of annual business plans and budgets. - Develop methods and tools to support financial data collection, performance modeling, statistical analysis, and complex reporting. - Set-up, operate and maintain planning systems and tools. Support efforts to enhance and expand system and tool capabilities. - Participate/lead in reporting and analysis process improvement projects, and in special analysis and reporting projects.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance or Accounting focus). - Excellent technical accounting skills and knowledge of computer based financial applications. Knowledge of SAP desirable. - Strong communication and time management skills. - Demonstrated ability to accomplish broadly defined objectives with minimal direction, exercising creativity, initiative and good business judgment. - Demonstrated ability in meeting specified objectives using technical and problem solving skills working with minimal supervision.
