Software Test

MTS Systems Corporation is a leading global supplier of test systems and industrial position sensors. The Company's testing hardware and software solutions help customers accelerate and improve their design, development, and manufacturing processes and are used for determining the mechanical behavior of materials, products, and structures. MTS' high-performance position sensors provide controls for a variety of industrial and vehicular applications.

Our software engineers use the latest tools, technologies and methodologies to develop industry-leading software applications in a fast-paced, agile environment. Advanced, custom-built test automation systems are needed to continually verify that our software is working as expected. In this role, you will analyze and decompose a complex software system and design innovative test suites which automatically exercise and validate it.

• Develop automated tests in C#/.Net
• Build and maintain our automated testing framework and infrastructure
• Investigate and debug test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary
• Partner with software developers on the design and testability of new features
• Support product development by participating in all phases of the development process
• Convert existing manual test cases to automated tests

Basic Qualifications:

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a Bachelors degree program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent program
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired
• Strong object-oriented programming skills
• Creative thinker and strong problem solver
• Ability to learn and understand complex systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
