Mechanical Drafter

Take your drafting career to the next step with a 1 year internship at MTS! We have an internship position available that will allow you to work closely with other professionals in a true engineering/drafting environment.

• Provide detailing support for various products and projects.
• Work from sketches & marked up prints provided by senior designers or mechanical engineers.
• Redraw legacy products/parts on SolidWorks CAD software
• Detail work using SolidWorks CAD software.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have at least completed one year in a drafting/design 2 year program
• Must graduate on or after May 2018
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 is desired
• SolidWorks CAD software knowledge a plus

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
