Summary
The Index Marketing Generalist plays an important role in supporting the growth of MSCI's index business. The person will bring marketing knowledge and an appetite for financial products to ultimately help with the initiatives set by the Global Head of Product Marketing. This role will be focused on creating and managing activities which support our marketing efforts with key partners and clients in the ETF industry. In addition to working with colleagues in Marketing, the role will also involve working with our Client Service, Product, Coverage and Research teams to create collaterals and key product material.
Responsibilities
* Partner with the Americas Index Marketing Manager and other teammates to ensure marketing plans are consistent and integrated with the firms initiatives * Execute against a marketing plan and work with stakeholders to ensure all deliverables, marketing initiatives, and advertising are delivered on-time * Partner closely with teams in other regions to develop and deliver presentations that highlight our competitive advantage in the market through developing an understanding of the changing index and ETF landscape * Produce meaningful metrics for the business and offer fact-based insights to help guide strategies for brand positioning, product innovation, and industry partnerships * Assist with internal and external processes around delivering and developing marketing programs to support our ETF strategy * Support the creation of materials and collateral to help drive marketing campaigns against the product portfolio, including factsheets, presentations, website, emails, and brochures **Additional responsibilities may include:** * Industry and client research * Competitive intelligence gathering * Message development * Marketing of thought capital (papers, videos, speaking engagements, etc.) * Events
Ideal Candidate
**Specific Knowledge & Skills:** * Good understanding of the financial markets, types of products available in the marketplace and how they impact the investment process * Excellent verbal and written communication skills (internal and external interactions) with strong attention to detail * Ability to understand complex and sometimes contradictory themes and opinions and create unified, consistent messaging * Excellent organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects/plans and work well under pressure to meet deadlines * Confident self-starter with potential leadership qualities, ability to work in a matrix work environment and strong partnership skills * Excellent PowerPoint and excel skills * Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and take a proactive approach to work schedule * Knowledge of SalesForce and/or marketing tools **Desired Experience:** * University degree in marketing, finance, or related field (Master's degree a plus) * 5+ years of experience in relevant field * Experience in building and/or managing client relationships
