Summary
MSCI is seeking a senior finance professional to lead the transformation of processes and systems within Finance at MSCI. This person will assess and develop the strategy and roadmap for finance transformation, and begin execution. This is a both a strategic and a hands-on role which will enhance the effectiveness of our financial processes to enable better decision making among business leaders. The appropriate individual will need to demonstrate a strong acumen in financial management, financial processes and business analytics. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial manager to play an integral role in enhancing the company's efficiency and operating decisions, and become a key member of the finance organization.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate processes and systems to ensure efficiency and consistency in reporting and metrics * Provide thought leadership to challenge existing processes, and translate those findings into actionable project plans * Lead process improvement projects to reduce process cycle times, including account to report, financial forecast quality, and enhance information provided to leadership for business decisions. * Evaluate accounting processes, including time to close, PO process, and sales to revenue bookings processes to identify opportunities for automation, standardization and improved cycle time. Develop roadmap for prioritized projects and begin implementation. * Continue the progress on the data management strategy for the company working closely with the Technology, Finance and Product teams * Assess business case for implementing a planning tool to support corporate FP&A and the product finance teams * Provide direction and leadership by partnering with Mumbai based COE Leader to develop standard and automated COE processes
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have at least 10 to 15 years minimum in leadership positions within finance. Core financial competencies are a requirement along with strong leadership and management skills. Strong preference for financial management experience, particularly with finance change management. **Specific Knowledge & Skills:** * Hands on leader with a proven track record of transforming financial processes * Proven skills in developing financial forecasts and driving financial execution * Strong understanding of financial systems required to enable a World Class Finance Team * Strong financial analysis capabilities: ability to interpret financial reports and data to understand business performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities. * Demonstrated experience in project management; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously * Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills: comfortable interacting and communicating with executive and senior management levels * Solid interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to develop strong, cross-functional relationships; * Experience working with SAP * Demonstrated leadership skills * Ability to work collaboratively and strong influencing skills **Desired Experience & Qualifications:** * Certified Six Sigma * Strong Project Management experience * Excellent three statement financial modeling and analytical skills * Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint * Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail * High proficiency with financial systems and financial planning tools
