Summary
The Account Service Representative is responsible for the maintenance and added expansion of MSC’s established vending solutions programs.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the identification and cross-referencing of products for all of MSC’s vending solutions programs. * Builds customer relationships via exceptional levels of service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. * Supports all MSC solutions in the field by performing the following * Travels to MSC VMI customer locations to scan MSC items for receipt by the AS/400 system. * Assists in identification and cross-referencing of product for the VMI program. * Maintains and updates all VMI equipment in branch such as scanners, label makers, etc. * Monitors the minimum and maximum product quantity at customer locations. * Supplies reports supporting VMI and other solutions as directed by the needs of the branch. * Under the guidance of the VMI Sales Representative (VSR) and Team Leader (ISS), resolves customer issues and increases product knowledge, and learns about MSC’s Culture. * Fosters the MSC Culture in the branch and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s Mission. * Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Ideal Candidate
* High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. * An Associate’s degree or the equivalent work experience is preferred. * 0-2 years outside sales and/or customer service experience is preferred. * Relevant Military experience is a plus **Skills** * Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. * Understanding of basic sales skills is required. * Basic computer literacy is required. **Other Requirements** * A valid driver’s license is required. * Daily local travel within branch or market territory is required. * Occasional overnight travel is also required. * May need to lift up to 50 lbs based on customer needs.
