Security Guard

MPW offers a variety of industrial cleaning, water purification, facility management and container management services to thousands of clients throughout North America.

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a safe and secure environment for MPW employees and customers.

• Be on time with equipment and guardhouse set up and ready by 0630.
• Maintain traffic flow at gate:
  • Guests and visitors Identified and directed to the right location for their needs
  • Outbound MPW equipment logged out
  • Ensure use of employee key cards when entering and exiting the campus
  • Guests and visitors exiting safely and promptly
  • Maintain gate activity log for deliveries in and out
• Patrol campus, watching for safety and/or criminal activities
• Respond to all medical or criminal emergencies.
• End of watch secure guardhouse and equipment.
• Performs other duties as directed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer a good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures and polices.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently is a must.
• Candidate should posess basic computer skills.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Individually motivated.
