Summary
As a technical project manager at Moz, you'll be part of a team of responsible for planning, organizing, and getting work done across the company. Project Managers at Moz support teams in building quality products and experiences, and improving the way we work together.
Responsibilities
* Run the agile process for software development teams * Take ownership of projects from cradle to grave; planning to launch * Work with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to set team goals and coordinate the work required to achieve them * Drive cross-team communications and planning * Maintain project timelines and keep our agile development on schedule and on track * Provide product & data design input in the planning and execution stages * Confront issues when they occur and help resolve them * Contribute ways to improve our project management processes * Participate in the company's annual and quarterly planning cycles * Help triage and prioritize; be the customer advocate while balancing the ROI of new feature work * Be the team’s central point of communication * Work effectively with everyone at Moz: developers, designers, marketers, and everyone in between * Keep on top of the details so that nothing slips through the cracks
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of recent experience as a program or project manager in agile development environments * Bachelor's degree (not necessarily in CS, but a diverse technical background is important) * Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner, or other relevant agile certifications * Excellent problem solver, creative thinker, and extremely self-motivated * Analytical and detail oriented. Able to prioritize, execute and deliver projects on time * Great written and verbal communication skills * Ability to turn business requirements into technical specifications * Experience leading agile processes, especially Scrum * Strong customer empathy * A high-level understanding and curiosity about technology – you won’t have to write code, but you need to work intelligently with those who do * Able to herd cats, dogs, and the occasional circus animal * U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required **Bonus Round** The following attributes, while not required, would be valuable to the team and useful in many of the tasks and projects you'll encounter: * Experience with UX design * Experience making interactive web tools * Experience managing projects related to API services or storage architecture * Experience doing SEO or knowledge of organic marketing techniques
