Move, Inc., a subsidiary of News Corp, is a leading provider of online real estate services and operates the Move network of real estate websites and mobile experiences for consumers and real estate professionals.

• Deliver daily posts of various lengths on the latest real estate related news—quickly, authorativiely, and using the approachable, witty and knowledable realtor.com tone

• Creating actionable stories with clear benefits and meanings of numbers — home prices, mortgage rates, housing starts—for our large and fast-growing home buying and selling audience

• Distill sometimes complex data into compulsively readable, traffic generating copy, and promote it on social media

• Develop a top list of expert sources to help our audience understand complicated issues

• Team with our on staff chief economist and data journalist to devise new, sometimes surprising, often clever and press-generating ways to crunch and deliver our vast resources of internal data

• Reblog relevant, important or just fun and quirky real estate stories and find fast and smart ways to develop real estate angles on news of the day

• Eventually write and/or oversee a daily morning newsletter, rounding up the most important real estate and related news of the day

• BA in journalism or related field

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a professional news reporter and editor on the web with a track record in breaking and delivering big stories

• Experience with real estate and/or financially based content

• Top-notch writing and editing skills, with a deep well of story ideas and a strong sense of reader service

• A highly organized and very clean line editor who can elevate copy to new heights

• Ability to maintain high quality work while meeting tight deadlines

• Familiarity with Wordpress and understanding of SEO

• A deep understanding of the potential and workings of all major social media platforms

• A sense of humor and a team player who will add a special magic to our growing staff
