Summary
We’re seeking a highly motivated graphic designer with a passion for music technology to join a small team of exceptional people, designing and developing the future of professional music and audio products at MOTU. You would have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, designing everything from software and hardware products, to the web and print materials to go with them. These products are used on hit songs, mega tours, primetime TV and blockbuster films every day.
Responsibilities
* Graphical design of new features and UI treatments for MOTU’s suite of music software including MIDI and audio editing software, effect plugins and virtual instruments. * Design hardware interfaces - lay out physical connections and controls, design printed panel graphics and labels, create graphics for embedded LCDs. * Design and style single-page web apps for controlling hardware devices. * Develop, deploy and maintain consistent corporate branding and trade dress across multiple media and platforms. * Design and style MOTU’s corporate web site. * Create HTML5 web animations * Create 3D “hero shots” of new hardware products. * Packaging design. * Cover design for printed manuals. * Generate trade show graphics. * Organize and manage a large number of corporate marketing assets.
Ideal Candidate
**Required:** * Demonstrable and successful experience in graphic design (show us your portfolio). * Expertise in Adobe creative apps: Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, AfterEffects. * Knowledge of and experience using 3D modeling and rendering software. * Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and the box model. * Learn new software packages as needed. * Disciplined and creative visual design process. * Knowledge of and practical ability to apply the basic principles of good typography. * Produce work on a deadline without artistic compromise. **Desired:** * Affinity for beautiful and timeless designs. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design. * Experience coding client-side JavaScript. * Experience with creative and/or corporate photography
