- Successfully handle several programs concurrently as an industrial design contributor and be able to lead those programs. - Add value through design thinking. Conduct interactions across engineering, design, and business teams to facilitate breakthroughs. - Must be able to communicate well with peers as well as senior management and across disciplines. - The incumbent must be able to translate appropriate design concepts from design research and drive visionary projects for the business. - Develop ideas into design directions based on an understanding of end user requirements as a result of direct end user research in which this position would actively participate. - Collaborate with marketing and engineering to assure successful implementation of industrial designs. - Follow up with manufacturing and production processes as required. - Integrate effectively into a multidisciplinary group that includes cognitive and behavioral scientists, user interface designers, and human factors engineers while delivering world class designs within strict deadlines in a fast paced environment.

- Bachelors degree from an accredited industrial design program. A Masters degree is a plus. - Industrial Design experience - experience in hand held products or electronic devices a plus - This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills. A proven track record must be demonstrated. - Strong 2-D visualization skills are necessary such as sketching, Illustrator and Photoshop software. - An ability to develop 3-D databases in PTC Creo and photorealistic renderings in Keyshot or equivalent. - An ability to appreciate and work with human factors and user interface specialists is also a key success factor for this position. - A wide level of sensitivity to culture and end users should complement a strong core knowledge in design. - The ideal candidate will be able to comfortably present his or her design concepts and gain acceptance from the other stakeholders.
