Head of Client Mobile Development

The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of product delivery of Mobile solutions providing brokerage and banking capabilities targeted at Wealth Management clients. The candidate will be responsible for managing the evolution of an industry leading solution while focusing on all strategic and tactical aspects of this important platform. The candidate will lead the Mobile development group, work closely with the business in defining future strategy and its roadmap, and engage with various technology groups within and outside of Morgan Stanley in order to collaboratively deliver high quality products that provide a high level of engagement with our clients.

* Delivery Management of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management client facing mobile applications. * Develop and own the MSWM Mobile applications and platforms product roadmap, strategy, architecture and implementation. * Coordinate with technology, business, operations, security, QA and UX Design teams to analyze business and functional requirements and develop robust development plans. * Advise business on mobile strategy * Implement effective SDLC and development practices, develop and manage a highly efficient and agile mobile development team. * Produce appropriate project artifacts that may include high level architecture designs, delivery plans, resource planning, and more * Manage and coordinate development activities, setting priorities and assign projects within the team * Analyze business requirements, industry trends and client feedback * Oversee daily activities of development team and provide direction and guidance as needed. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge by researching new technologies and software products, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications

* Extensive years of overall experience in software development, with several years of relevant architecture and design experience, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities. * Experience architecting and designing mobile applications taking into consideration performance, cross-platform support capabilities (iOS, Android, etc.), usability, user experience, and security. * Experience building mobile back-end platforms leveraged by multiple mobile applications. * Experience with multi-tier and cross-platform architectures driven towards mobility. * Experience building mobile applications in one or more of the following platforms: native iOS, native Android, Windows, and Hybrid (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript). * Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications. * Technical acumen to convert business plans into technical solutions that work. * Experience with automated testing and continuous integration tools is a plus. * Experience working with and delivering projects using Agile methodologies. * Excellent client-facing skills for technical requirements gathering and presentations. * Self-motivated and flexible, with a demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team. * Strong team player willing to pitch in and do whatever it takes to make the team and clients successful. * Experience coaching and mentoring technical team members. * Professional, accountable, enthusiastic, and confident, with a client centric focus. * Excellent communication skills with ability to explain ideas very clearly through verbal and written communication. * B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
