Experience Designer
Moment
(New York, New York)The three cornerstones of Moment’s culture are openness, empathy, and collaboration.
-
Moment is looking for a few exceptional new team members to join our team in New York.
-
We design digital products for some of the world’s best known brands. If you’re interested in joining us as an Experience Designer you’ll need 2–3 years of hands-on experience in interaction design of software or web applications, as well as a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to devise simple user experiences, but that’s just the beginning of the story.
-
In addition to the personas, user journeys, and wireframes that come with the territory you’ll get to use those broad skills in business consulting, user research, service design and or prototyping as you work hand-in-hand with our clients’ business and technology stakeholders from product definition through to implementation. Finally, you should know that our working style relies heavily on critique and collaboration. If you can imagine doing your best work in a low-ego, team environment then this position may be for you.
-
Moment’s projects stand on the leading edge of technology adoption, spanning industries like media and entertainment, financial services, healthcare, and education and working with clients to produce successful multi-platform digital products for the web and mobile devices.
- A love of critique and collaboration and co-authorship (Moment’s three C’s).
- 2-3 years of information architecture, interaction, or interface design experience in a consulting or corporate environment
- A degree in development or design-related field, Master's degree preferred
- Desire to work through the entire design process using methods like sketching, storyboarding, diagramming, wire-framing, and prototyping for screen-based experiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Appreciation for the potential of 'design thinking' and ability to engage upstream from the traditional role of the designer
- The curiosity to tinker
