Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for project management activities, including project planning, regular reporting, meetings and communication, following-up on tasks, identifying risks and keeping resources and efforts focused on priorities and on-track. At the Corporate level, the Project Manager is responsible for communicating project status and information to other groups so they can manage their readiness activities accordingly. The Project Manager is a central information resource.
Responsibilities
* Ensures the success of the Project by specifying goals, strategy, and staffing. * Includes scheduling project deliverables, tracking milestones and progress, required tasks, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources as defined by the Critical Success Factors. * Ensures project adherence; manages the signed contract, all commercial agreements, and all project documentation. * Manages the Project Budget and Margin to within pre-authorized limits. * Prepares invoices for delivery, ensures appropriate billability of project hours, allocates time and expenses to proper charges codes. * Ensures timely submission of forecasts for revenues and resources. * Builds effective relationships. * Identifies, resolves, and documents client-side and internal issues. * Defines employees' roles, responsibilities, and expectations on a project, while fostering positive employee morale and teamwork. * Supports Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Partners initiatives * Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project, monitors project results against technical specifications. * Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues. * Contribute to departmental process improvement initiatives, by assisting with design, development and roll out.
Ideal Candidate
**Requirements & Skills:** * 4 years of Project Management experience * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects * PMP certification or PMP training desired. * Up to 25% travel * Experience directly or indirectly in a matrixed resource model, supervising up to 20 employees within the Project team. **Education:** Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
