Solution Architect

Minerva enables service providers to offer an engaging television experience to their subscribers, across any network, on any device and at any time. Every day more than three hundred operators around the world deliver advanced television services powered by our software platform.

We are currently in search of a Solution Architect to provide pre-sales technical expertise to win business in the Tier 1 and 2 Telephone carrier and cable market worldwide. The Solutions Architect will support Minerva’s Strategic Sales, major systems integrators, technology partners and strategic business partners to position Minerva to win in major accounts.

* Serving as the main technical point of contact for strategic customers and prospects * Presenting to top technical and marketing staff to influence their requirements for upcoming RFPs * Responding to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs for Tier 1/2 Telcos and Cable Operators * Creating the system architecture and corresponding bill of materials for strategic customers * Work with ecosystem partners to provide an integrated solutions proposal for strategic customers * Tailoring technical presentation materials for specific opportunities * Driving the successful completion of Tier 1/2 customer trials and evaluations * Support demonstrations of the Company's products at customer sites and trade shows * Explaining the technical merits of the products to prospective customers * Writing technical white papers to stake out market positioning and thought leadership * Present software demonstrations of Minerva products for prospective customers and at tradeshows * Act as a liaison to Product Management regarding major accounts and their future product needs.

* Strong interpersonal skills, including persuasive speaking * Intuitive Systems Engineering skills, a quick grasp of the overall structure of complicated systems, and an ability to convey complex technical ideas quickly and simply * Clear and effective technical communication skills * Excellent writing skills * Ability to create powerful technical presentation materials using Visio and PowerPoint * Strong motivation to learn; a self-starter * Deep technical background in one or many of the following fields: OTT and IPTV solutions, Cable TV solutions, Database and Application Server technology * Willingness and desire to get hands dirty to get experience with technology **Desired Experience:** * Enterprise-wide web application implementations * Database Implementation, including experience with clustering, and data replication * Amazon Web Services implementations * Scalability and performance testing * Experience designing software solutions in VM based environments * Previous IPTV, OTT or Cable solution experience, including middleware, VOD, IP set-top box, or Conditional Access System implementations * CDN implementation experience, including adaptive bit rate video delivery **Required Professional Designation/Certification:** * Bachelor of Science or equivalent; Masters of Science preferred. **Required Experience:** * 10+ years industry experience * Minerva Networks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
