Summary
Minerva is a leading provider of service and subscriber management solutions for the delivery of pay television and video entertainment services. By supporting a best of breed open ecosystem. We are currently in search of a Dev Ops Manager to provide hosted services for Minerva software offerings.
Responsibilities
* Create and lead the DevOps team to provide hosted services for Minerva software offerings * Plan, test and launch Minerva Hosted Services * Create staffing plans, job descriptions, and hire resources to operate and monitor hosted services * Interface with the Minerva Product Management team to communicate requirements for DevOps for the hosted services offerings * Work with Professional Services to ensure successful customer launches with hosted services * Serve as the escalation point for Technical Support issues with hosted services * Manage the ongoing introduction of new software releases into hosted services * Measure, monitor, and improve customer satisfaction with hosted services * Create processes and workflows as needed to manage hosted services * Develop the skill inventory of the Services team to increase their productivity and effectiveness * Modify, update, or create necessary processes for smooth, repeatable and reliable operations * Required Knowledge: * Maintaining and deploying Java web applications on application servers such as JBoss and Weblogic. * Manage multiple AWS services, e.g. EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, ELB * Knowledge of IP Networking, Network security, Firewalls * Experience with deploying and scaling out SaaS/Cloud applications on Amazon Web Services * Knowledge of configuration management tools, RPM and yum * Nice to have: experience with NoSQL systems. Skills & Abilities:
Ideal Candidate
* Strong leadership skills * Learn and understand complex technical systems quickly * Excellent written and spoken communications skills * Technical depth in one or more of the following: multi-tenant hosted environments, IPTV middleware, Analytics, and databases * Minimum of 5 years managing SAAS (software-as-a-service) DevOps team * B.S. or M.S. in Electronics or Software Engineering
