Locate existing underground cable and identify locations for bury drops.
- Locate and mark underground wire, lines, and cable; identify and mark locations of new cable to be dropped and buried underground.
- Retain knowledge of procedures and equipment required to locate existing underground cable.
- Possess proficiency in the operation of locate and bury drop equipment.
- Locate and mark existing underground radio frequency cable, fiber optic and distribution lines, etc.
- Read, comprehend, and utilize cable system maps and plans.
- Maintain records, including daily logs and gas sheets.
- Produce and maintain timely and accurate documentation.
- Operate and drive a Company vehicle in accordance with Midco’s “Use of Vehicle for Company Business” policy.
- Possess knowledge of Midco’s safety program (Target Zero), practice and enforce safety rules and procedures; operate all equipment in a safe manner.
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
- Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
- Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

- Mentor new hires as required.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required. Some college or vocational training preferred.
- Previous electronics or telecommunications experience is preferred.
- Maintain a current and valid driver’s license and good to excellent driving record. A DUI within the last 5 years disqualifies you from employment in this position.
