Senior Program Manager

The Payments team at Microsoft is looking for a Senior Project manager. Payments at Microsoft covers 241 markets globally and enables our customers to purchase our products and services with the Payment Instrument of their choice. This covers traditional payments such as Credit Cards to NFC tap n pay. The Payments field is undergoing a remarkable, rapid change with the introduction of Digital Wallets for NFC payments, tokenization and the rapid expansion of checkout models to reduce friction. Strong candidates should have solid familiarity with Payments, Payment processing, Payment types (Credit Card to Alternate Payment Methods), Payment Settlement, Payment Checkout. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), strong organizational skills, are detail-oriented, and be proficient in working with multiple, agile based engineering teams. This position is located in our Redmond, WA offices.

* Create clear vision and scope for the payment projects, which is understood by all stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are capable of achieving the customer goals and deliver across multiple teams within Microsoft * Manage components of larger projects, an individual project, a program of related projects, or a portfolio of projects/program with scale and complexity increasing with experience and proficiency * Provide consistent engineering execution and technical leadership and have a passion for breaking new ground around Payments * End-to-end project management tasks including requirements, project scope, schedule, budget, quality and compliance * Representing the program in senior-level engineering and business meetings, both internal and external * Develop and sustain strong working relationships with business, engineering teams across Microsoft and key partners such as Banks, Processors and Merchants. * Decisive with ability to impact and influence others * Strong problem solving skills, ability to dive into details drive to resolve issues

* Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline. * Minimum 10 years’ experience as project manager or program manager, including experience working / leading Payments projects * Experience and proven ability to resource, drive and deliver projects covering payment processing, payment settlement, payment provider onboarding
