Summary
This position coordinates the textbook adoptions and distributions for the Virtual College, serves as the department liaison to the Virtual College (VC) Fulfillment Center and resolves Student Help Desk tickets related to textbooks and accessing publisher online content.
Responsibilities
* Maintains and updates the Virtual College Textbook Adoption Master List in Microsoft Excel and Access * Monitors publisher websites for information regarding new editions of adopted textbooks * Reconciles and consolidates multiple sources of information (Follett, publisher, ID database, etc.) into single resources * Resolves information discrepancies by working with VC Senior Instructional Designers, Follett and various publisher reps * Maintains adopted textbook inventory and tracks distribution of same to faculty developers, instructional designers and adjuncts * Answers phone and resolves faculty issues related to textbooks and accessing publisher online content * Opens and solves Student Help Desk tickets (using Parature) related to textbooks and accessing publisher online content * Maintains and updates publisher contact list and distributes as needed * Performs other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree; or Associate degree and two (2) years of office clerical or administrative experience; or 30 College credits and (3) three years of office clerical or administrative experience * All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Access * Proficient in navigating and searching publisher websites * Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) * Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, meet established deadlines, follow directions, and work under pressure * Ability to analyze vast amounts of information with strong attention to detail * Ability to follow through to bring tasks to completion * Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments * Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
