Summary
The LCS Contract Manager is responsible for the management and execution of long term LCS maintenance contracts; ensuring the safety, proper performance and profitability of the contract, as well as the customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Obey and maintain a clear understanding of the customer safety rules, OSHA, and MSHA specifications. * Direct all efforts to meet regional & local legal requirements (i.e.: codes and standards, safety procedures, OSHA requirements, contractor licenses, etc.) * Execute the contract in compliance with customer expectations and Metso technical requirements. * Ensure that each element of the contract is completed on time and within the budget by coordinating and directing Metso employees and subcontracted labor. * Conduct regular site meetings with Metso field service team, product technical staff, and subcontractors to review project progress and prepare action plans. * Coordinate, manage, and evaluate direct employees in conjunction with the customer’s HR management policies and procedures. * Administrate human and material resources to meet contract specifications. * Coordinate, and/or prepare, analyze and submit accurate/timely internal management progress reports regarding the status of the contract. * Prepares written status reports on project progress for the customer. * Maintain daily reports on contract progress and subcontractor activities. * Identify and solve any problems or difficulties during the contract duration. * Monitor the contract financial parameters, review deviations, and provide appropriate corrective action plans. * Monitor, manage, and control all contract expenses & costs. * Solve invoicing issues. * Properly track and invoice extra costs (work outside the contract). * Execute the contract in compliance with profitability projections. * Measure, control and report all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) agreed in the contract. * Set improvement targets through KPIs. * Coordinate service crew to face contract requirements and emergency situations. * Provide technical expertise. * Supply technical advice to meet machine availabilities and capabilities. * Procure employees continuous development and training.
Ideal Candidate
* Willing to live at or near the proposed site, or the nearest city/town. * Strong leadership and relationship building skills. * A bias for action and detail-oriented behaviors are required. * A high level of computer skills is essential – Excel, Word and Access. * Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. * Strong communication skills. * Ability to work in a team atmosphere. * Customer service skills, including building and managing relationships, negotiation skills and understanding of customer needs. * Must be capable to organize and prioritize tasks while working in a fast paced environment. * Able to develop project execution strategies and processes. * Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces. * Able to travel frequently. * The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. * Able to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds at customer facilities. **Essential** * Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. * Minimum 10 years of site project management or maintenance management experience in construction, mining or related field. **Desirable** * Experience with CMMS (Maximo) **Other Requirements** * Must be fluent in English.Must have a valid passport and motor vehicle driver’s license. * Must be able to pass a random medical, and drug and alcohol test.
