Summary
Based in San Francisco and reporting to the Global Greenskeeper of Product Experience, this individual will be responsible for reporting our sustainability metrics, the Benefit Blueprint. He/she will be responsible for timely collection, analysis and reporting of these key metrics and developing actionable insights and recommendations. He/she will also handle the management of our ingredient assessment process and administration of our third party certifications. He/she will support new product development , provide product stewardship and develop product insights. This individual will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to educate about our mission to ensure that we are tracking towards our bold Greenskeeping ambitions.
Responsibilities
* Lead the data collection process and analytics for our sustainability metrics, the Benefit Blueprint —this includes our product, water, carbon footprint, social sustainability and zero landfill management * Manage our ingredient assessment tool to support the formulators and packaging engineers with ingredient and material assessments for product development * Manage our product certification process with "Cradle to Cradle" * Identify current and future opportunities that reduce our environmental footprint * Ensure our internal process is aligned with customer product standards * Meet regularly with business teams and gain an understanding of business plans to develop sustainability strategies for our products * Work reception once a month
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, independent worker, with a strong technical background. He/she will have an ability to frame decisions in a business context. He/she will be able to work well on a fast-paced, dynamic team. We're looking for an individual who can stay organized , build capability and respond to requests…a positive outlook and sense of humor will also serve you well. * BA/BS degree in environmental science or related field * 1-3 years experience in sustainability reporting * Strong analytical skills with exceptional command of Excel * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Proficiency with database management
