Summary
The SAP Solutions Architect will be located in San Francisco and will play an integral role in developing SAP to meet the global business needs of the organization. This role will be responsible for consulting with various departments to identify, develop and deliver solutions that drive significant efficiencies and improvements across the business utilizing SAP. The SAP Architect will provide CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) subject matter expertise pertaining to the SAP application suite and select 3rd party solutions.
Responsibilities
* Provide expertise to identify and translate business requirements into software design * Provide guidance on how to improve overall SAP usability and user experience * Plan, lead and prioritize work relating to software design and development for new and existing initiatives * Collaborate with SMEs and technical teams to sequence work, develop implementation plans and produce work effort estimates * Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources, and manage SAP partners * Ensure adherence to Enterprise Architecture and alignment with technology roadmap * Work collaboratively with global team and effectively leverage shared resources * Respond to critical production issues and provide solutions to maintain business continuity * Drive problem investigation and resolution as required * Establish and maintain SAP system controls, policies and procedures * Build out and maintain repository of business processes, documentation, KPI’s and solution designs * Foster a strong and positive work environment that encourages creativity while maintaining high caliber productivity * Function as a stakeholder of projects, participate in management decisions and issue resolution * Stay informed about ERP technology trends, directions and uses in CPG industry * Work reception once a month * We are not joking. Ideal Candidate
* Ten (10) or more years of applicable experience in SAP * Five (5) years of management/solution architecture experience in a medium to large corporate environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity of projects and applications * Must posses three or more core strengths of SAP functional modules such as Financial Accounting & Controlling (FICO), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP) and Sales and Distribution (SD) * Knowledge of integration of ECC with third-party WMS and / or SAP WM solution is highly desired * Technically fluent in relational database administration, including MSSQL, or similar large-scale relational databases * A BA/BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline;MA/MS or MBA a plus * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well independently and in a team environment * Organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities gracefully under pressure * Stamina, character and work ethic appropriate for a fast-paced, team oriented company * Occasional after-hours response to critical situations may be required (remotely and/or in the office); Minimal travel may be required as well
