The Graphic Artist creates news graphics for KTVK and KPHO newscasts. This position assists other designers with various special projects as assigned, including; print, on-air, web or social media design work for news, programming, promotion, production or sales.

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

• 80% Supports news product with graphics that are creative, support the station brand, are accurate and meet deadlines
• 15% Supports promotions, sales, production and news with special projects, web, social media, and print.
• 5% Fills in for other designers for vacation and or sick time as assigned.

Education:

• Completion of high school or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design preferred.

Experience:

• One to two years experience as a TV graphic artist or experience with motion graphics required.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively, handle extreme deadlines and changing priorities.
• Very proficient with Chyron. Proficiency with the following Adobe applications: After Effects, PhotoShop, Illustrator.
• Travel Required
