Responsibilities
* Participates in projects to support the discovery, development and optimization of Biologics and Vaccine products. Performs existing techniques accurately and be able to trouble shoot these techniques. Interprets scientific data generated from one’s own experiments or from one’s subordinates. Designs and executes experiments for biological and/or vaccine clinical assays to optimize existing technique. Evaluates new techniques/technologies and equipment. * Applies knowledge of the principles and concepts of bioanalytical and/or Vaccine clinical testing. Applies technical skills to complete assigned work within own group/project team. Works predominantly with established procedures, technologies and methodologies to complete assignments. Recognized as a competent technical contributor. * Collaborates and communicates within and across the work group. Makes decisions that require choosing between limited alternatives to resolve problems of moderate complexity. Works in a structured environment under moderate supervision. Maintains accurate records of ongoing projects in adherence with documentation standards. * Participates in designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting the results of laboratory experiments. Monitors ongoing experiments for any unusual occurrences. Maintains familiarity with relevant literature to apply scientific best practices to internal processes and identify opportunities to improve quality of work.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications **Education:** - BS in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related Biological Sciences discipline with at least 3 years of experience or a MS in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related Biological Sciences discipline. **Required:** - Must be trained in GLP requirements and must have experience working in a regulated laboratory environment. - Must have experience with Virus and Cell biology assays such as plaque reduction neutralization tests, microneutralization assays and processing of PBMCs; Immunology assays such as ELISA, multiplexed ELISA on MSD and/or Luminex platform; and Molecular biology assays such as DNA gel electrophoresis, DNA and RNA isolation and Real-Time PCR. - Must have experience executing on formal reagent qualifications, QC trending activities, and troubleshooting for immunological, cell based, and molecular assay methods.
