Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a consultative design or innovation practice, with proven ability to: Deliver human-centered, innovative, and implementable design concepts
- Has experience launching digital products in an enterprise environment. Previous healthcare experience a plus
- Lead and inspire the work of creative teams
Employ human-centered design methodology and practice
- Build consensus among diverse, distributed teams
Master’s degree in design or related field preferred
If Master’s degree in field other than design, a Bachelor’s degree in design is required in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Service Design, Communication Design, User Experience Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related design discipline
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Provides a combination of strategic and conceptual direction and expertise
- Has experience and a desire to lead digital product development across the entire design process from user research, insights, ideation, prototyping & iteration, detailed design and bridging to implementation.
- Brings a human-centered orientation to your work, with examples of work that shows how user insights led concept development
- Is knowledgeable in interaction and experience design methods such as user research, sketching, storyboarding, diagramming, wire framing, and prototyping for screen-based experiences;
- Holds strong information design, visual design, communication, and storytelling skills
- Is collaborative in their approach and a team player who knows how to work with diverse stakeholders and has the ability to engage upstream
- Drives digital vision while working hand in hand with business and technology stakeholders.
- Uses persuasive arguments and narratives to educate and enroll stakeholders in your ideas.
- Has experience leading design teams - guiding the direction of their work, providing critique, mentoring and organizing their time.
- Has enthusiasm, patience and a positive attitude
- Displays an intrinsic curiosity for how to make things better
- Is eager to collaborate and work in teams, but feels equally comfortable with independent work
- Is knowledgeable about a range of interaction design, visualization, and rapid prototyping tools, from paper prototypes to familiarity with latest prototyping tools to demonstrate complex interactions (such as InVision, Axure, Framer, etc)
