We have an opening for an experienced, innovative and strategically focused Director, Communications in our New York City office. The Director, Communications, contributes toward building McGraw-Hill Education's brand as a learning science company, driving awareness of its leaders, key initiatives, products and services and enhancing our reputation in the marketplace. The position works closely with MHE's external communications partner and oversees MHE's digital communications program and MHE events.

Planning and executing MHE's external communications strategy, working closely with communications leadership, MHE business unit contacts and MHE's external PR agency.

Working with MHE leadership to develop the company's thought leadership agenda; leading development of thought leadership content and managing broader executive visibility efforts.

Developing and producing content to support McGraw-Hill Education's external communication initiatives for distribution through the media, newsletters, company websites, social media channels, intranet, and third party sites/platforms.

Leading the planning and execution of MHE's presence at SXSWedu, including sponsorships, speaking opportunities, the design and build-out of MHE's lounge, media relations and other activities; providing communications support at other events, including the Consumer Electronics Show, the ASU+GSV Summit, ISTE and EDUCAUSE.

Helping to manage the company's reputation through crisis communications

Providing support to both MHE's Chief Communications Officer and Vice President of Communications.

Providing guidance and support to the Senior Manager of Public Relations and Senior Manager of Digital Communications.
