Internal Auditor

McCain Foods Limited was founded in 1957 by brothers, Harrison and Wallace McCain, with the production facility opening in their hometown of Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada. Since its humble beginnings, McCain Foods has become one of the world's largest manufacturers of frozen French fries and potato specialties.

Internal Auditor help's balance opportunities with risks, and ensure that the right practices are incorporated into new or existing business processes. Due to the corporate nature of this global role, 50% of travel (domestic and international) is expected as you work with customers, team members and senior management around the world.

As an Internal Auditor, you will travel the world collaborating with global and local management to develop practical solutions to business challenges. On a day to day basis, you are responsible for: * Leading or assisting with internal auditing projects * Planning, performing, managing and reporting on internal auditing activities * Evaluating and recommending business processes improvements * Following up on outstanding internal audit issues * Assisting in the development of the annual internal audit plan You bring strong knowledge of auditing, including process control & evaluation, business process & risk assessment and reporting. Highly complex issues are often encountered and presented to you for analysis and recommendation – these decisions will have a measurable impact on the business.

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It is required to have progressive experience in a public accounting or multinational firm with 2-3 years in auditing. You are adept at seeing the big picture and can easily develop and implement new processes to drive issue resolution. You have strong analytical skills and haven’t met an Excel spreadsheet you couldn’t decipher. Experience with SAP is an asset.
