Summary
Following a period of significant growth and expansion, the firm is now looking for an experienced and talented VP, Digital Marketing. Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing, the individual will be expected to take responsibility for setting the firm’s digital marketing strategy in multiple markets around the world. The successful candidate will manage a small digital team and be responsible for all digital activities that include delivering impactful campaigns that will raise awareness of company’s brand and promote our products. They will plan and execute all web, email, social media and display advertising campaigns that will include SEM/SEO/PPC programs. They will also be responsible for measuring and optimizing campaigns and websites, and produce reports to measure success against pre-defined goals and assess ROI. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate an awareness of new technologies and keep the firm at the forefront of developments in digital marketing. Importantly, they will be able to work across the business with key internal stakeholders including distribution, operations, IT and compliance teams on key projects and on-going digital activities. This is a newly created role within the firm and if offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the company’s global marketing and distribution efforts and help support the growth of the firm in global markets. This is a hands-on-role that will require both strategic thinking and execution.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of digital marketing and develop a long-term vision and digital marketing plan for the firm * Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that align with the firm’s business goals * Work closely with the Head of Global Marketing and Distribution Heads to devise and execute digital marketing initiatives in target markets around the world * Manage, train and motivate a small digital marketing team and introduce best practice to all activities and initiatives * Plan and execute all web, email, social media and display advertising campaigns * Utilize SEO/SEM/PPC tools and build into digital marketing programs * Oversee the social media strategy for the firm * Manage all vendor and third party digital relationships including CMS and design agencies * Leverage the CRM tool for marketing campaigns and data analytics * Improve usability, design and content of the website by developing a deeper understanding of client behavior * Leverage and shape existing content for different market segments and distribution channels * Evaluate ROI and deliver regular performance reports * Provide input into the budget process and manage costs within budgeted guidelines. * Conduct digital marketing research using internal and external information providers * Represent digital marketing for the firm and develop strong connections across the industry * Maintain a solid understanding of the digital landscape in the US, Europe and Asia. * Upgrade technology in marketing and distribution departments
Ideal Candidate
* At least seven years of experience in a senior digital marketing role, ideally with knowledge of digital markets in the U.S., Europe and Asia * Proven track record in delivery of successful digital marketing initiatives within the investment management industry * Experience creating and implementing digital marketing initiatives through email, social, display and managing SEO/SEM tools * Demonstrable creativity and experience in ability to identify target audiences and devise digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate * Experience managing and motivating a small digital marketing team * Experience managing CMS and website design agencies and, ideally, also have experience with CRM, CMS and website redevelopment projects * Strong project management skills and an ability to work on multiple projects at the same time * Strong knowledge of digital marketing and ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a pressurized environment * Deep understanding of compliance rules and regulations in the U.S. * Highly advanced/effective communication skills, both written and verbal, presenting to various audiences. * Knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) and other third party software such as Google Adwords * Knowledge of PPC * Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in digital marketing within the investment management industry * Must be a U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S on a permanent basis
