In 1927 MATHESON Gas Products became the first company to offer a reliable source of high quality scientific gases and equipment. From the start, MATHESON asserted its leadership by understanding specialty gas applications and providing products specially designed for these applications.

Fixed Assets

• Prepare file for upload to internal and tax FAS (Fixed Asset System) books.
• Reconcile Fixed Assets.
• All other activity related to Fixed Assets.
• Assist with any reconciliation issues on Construction Process.

Use Tax

• Prepare and analyze activity to report the Sales & Use tax activity to the Tax Department.
• Contact for all Sales & Use tax questions from the Tax Department.

General Ledger

• Month End Close (Journal Entries, Analysis of accounts, System Batch Close)
• Upload Journal Entries into Accounting Software.
• Research & Analysis requests from Management.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
• Update Profit & Loss Statements (F9's) monthly.
• Run Standard Entries.
• Prepare various monthly accounting entries.
• Various other responsibilities.

Bank Reconciliations

• Reconciliations of up to 30 bank depository bank accounts monthly.
• Reconciliation of up to 3 operating bank account monthly.
• Research any issues on bank reconciliation.

• 4 year Degree (BA/BS)
• Minimum 2 years of previous Sr. Accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• CPA preferred
