The Events Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for writing and coordinating content for MasterControl's international and regional user events and tradeshows. The position requires strong copywriting and editing skills, along with the ability to handle multiple projects at once; adapt quickly to changing priorities while remaining positive, flexible and open to feedback; work well under pressure; and meet short deadlines.
* Write copy for event-related online marketing materials and collateral including, but not limited to, web pages, social media, blogs/newsletter articles, email blasts, speaker/presenter bios, conference guides and event signage. * Lead internal and external speakers and presenters to shape and polish their message and simplify complex industry, regulatory and technical concepts and key messages. * Collaborate with the design and events teams to develop marketing and advertising campaigns that demonstrate the value of MasterControl events and increase event attendance. * Demonstrate a knowledge of current content marketing strategies and tactics. * Demonstrate a knowledge of basic SEO and social media concepts and best practices. * Edit collateral and website content for consistency, clarity, brevity, accuracy and readability. * Adhere to Associated Press (AP) Style Guidelines. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Preferred Skills** * Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications or other related field; and 2-3 years' B2B copywriting experience. * Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills * Strong sense of project ownership and accountability, ability to move objects forward and stay on top of deadlines. * Efficient time management and organizational skills. * Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. * Highly enthusiastic and proactive, with a team-player attitude. * Solid experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Basic knowledge of event-planning and project management tools like Cvent and Trello. * Previous history of writing about events and/or technical products. **Physical Demands and Working conditions** Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for an extended period of time.
