Responsibilities
STANTON FELLOW IN NUCLEAR SECURITY, Nuclear Science and Engineering (NSE)-Laboratory for Nuclear Security Policy (LNSP). Seek applicants to a fellowship supporting technical scholars interested in advancing policy-relevant understanding of nuclear-security issues. Stanton fellows will pursue their own program of academic research while on the fellowship. Research proposals should be in the field of nuclear security studies, with an emphasis on the technical aspects as they bear on policy decisions. Fellows are encouraged to take advantage of faculty expertise in LNSP and NSE and to collaborate with members of the MIT Security Studies Program. Fellows are expected to produces a journal article or the equivalent as a result of their fellowship. Participation in seminars, meetings, and conferences is also encouraged.
Ideal Candidate
**REQUIRED:** a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering, physics, or another field with technical relevance to nuclear security. In unusual cases, applicants without a Ph.D. may be considered.
